Since 2005 MPAC Ltd. have been carrying out predictive maintenance and condition monitoring services for customers in all industries across the county, we have developed a strong understanding of the various technologies used in industrial and commercial predictive maintenance and have invested in state of the art equipment to allow us to carry out inspections on electrical and mechanical systems for our customers.
MPAC Ltd. can offer oil analysis (OA) services to customers for condition monitoring, fault finding and root cause analysis.
Oil analysis (OA) is the laboratory analysis of a lubricant‘s properties, suspended contaminants, and wear debris. OA is performed during routine predictive maintenance to provide meaningful and accurate information on lubricant and machine condition. By tracking oil analysis sample results over the life of a particular machine, trends can be established which can help eliminate costly repairs.
OA can be divided into three categories:
- analysis of oil properties including those of the base oil and its additives,
- analysis of contaminants,
- analysis of wear debris from machinery,
MPAC Ltd. work closely with a local laboratory to whom we send the oil samples. The laboratory operates to ISO 9001:2008 standards and tests all oil samples in-house. We use the data returned from the lab to aid in root cause analysis in conjunction with our other condition monitoring services.
